Quick and Pretty

So in our summer hiatus from big projects, we’ve been able to focus on a couple of the smaller things that make our home a little more home-y. Our front porch is being transformed slowly into a great place to drink some coffee and/ or eat some ice cream at the end of a long day. I saw this idea initially from here, and thought it would be a great way to address the unused (sad) corner of our porch.

J and I stopped at Home Depot one afternoon, and I figured it was as good a time as any to get started. So I picked up this lattice/ trellis thingy for about $25. I already had a few galvanized pails leftover from our wedding, and added a couple more from the Target Dollar Spot. (I had the marble rocks and potting soil leftover from our succulent birdcage planter.)Before

I drilled a couple holes in the bottoms of the pails, filled them with marble rocks and potting soil, and added some shade-loving flowers to finish them off. RocksDirt Cup

I hung them from the lattice using S hooks, which means they can all be moved around if I get tired of the arrangement. Suuuuper simple project, all for about $40ish.

So good.  Trellis_Complete Finished
